A diffraction grating window or diffuser
A diffraction grating is an optical component that divides light into its own component wavelength. The diffraction grating is applied to the spectrum, or is integrated into a spectrophotometer or a monochromator. The diffraction grating contains a set of tightly arranged grooves, which have been carved on the surface of the grating. The diffraction grating can not only transmit light, but also reflect light. As the light is transmitted to the grating or reflected on the grating, the groove can diffract the light, and then diffuse the light to its component wavelength.
Edmund optics for ultraviolet (UV), visible light or infrared (IR) region provides a variety of transmission or reflection grating. The process is duplicated by a parent grating. This process can be used to determine the type of the grating. The line type diffraction grating contains a set of groove, which is used to separate the surface of the mother grating by high precision diamond tools. The line diffraction grating is suitable for high efficiency applications. The holographic diffraction grating is made by the interference band of two laser beams. Holographic diffraction gratings are suitable for applications that need to reduce stray.
A window is a parallel plane plate, usually used as a protective film for an electronic sensor or a detector in the external environment. When choosing a window, the user should consider whether the transmission properties of the material and the mechanical properties of the substrate are consistent with the application requirements. The window film does not change the magnification of the system. We provide window films on various substrates, including silicon germanium (Ge), (Si), N-BK7, UV, ZnSe fused silica (ZnSe) or potassium bromide (KBr). Many of our optional antireflection films can be used in ultraviolet light, visible light, or infrared spectroscopy.
The diffuser can be used to control the area of illumination diffusion, and the light source is diffused evenly when the light is spread through the diffusion sheet. Our products include holographic diffuser, milk diffuser or glass diffuser with various sizes or diffusion angles available. Compared with the glass diffuser, the holographic diffuser can bring excellent transmittance. The diffusion plate or the wool glass diffuser is a low cost substitute.
